Ashlyn & Daniel ~ married!

A while back I did mini-post on this wedding. It really didn't do justice to how gorgeous this couple is or how lovely their wedding day was! A couple of days ago I blogged about the gorgeous Ashlyn's bridal session at the Old Sheldon Church ruins. Today is about her and her very handsome groom Daniel on their wedding day.

Their event was held at the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in Charleston, SC. This was the first time I had shot a wedding there but I hope it won't be my last. What an AMAZING setting for a glorious spring wedding!! Below are some of my favorite images of the day.

I am pretty late blogging about this bridal session but I really had to share! The beautiful Ashlyn booked her March 2010 wedding with me early in 2009. She wanted to do a bridal session at the historic Old Sheldon Church ruins in Beaufort, SC. I couldn't think of a more stunning place for this gorgeous southern bride! After numerous reschedules due to weather we finally got a beautiful day to shoot! The sky was the bluest I had seen in weeks!

She really was so comfortable in front of the camera!

Again, the amazing sky with the beautiful ruins just set off this STUNNING bride!

Truly a southern lady... and soon to be doctor!! Ashlyn, we wish you luck in your medical school training! We know you will do extremely well. :)

I realize this is a day late but I just wanted to say that I hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July holiday weekend! I was fortunate enough to spend the time with my family and some great friends. As we were setting off fireworks last night I suddenly realized how blessed we are to live in a country where we have so much freedom. Many men & women died to give us these rights and I hope everyone who lives here will appreciate that. I know that I enjoyed the time I spent serving our country while in the US Air Force and I was honored to do so. So please, everyone, take some time to say a prayer for our country and for the people who keep it safe. Have a great summer!

Andrea & Tyrone ~ married!!

This past weekend was the amazing wedding celebration of Andrea & Tyrone. These two were just SO cute together! They met while in the Navy and have been together ever since. Their friends and family joined together in a fabulous fun time that was a joy to document! Below are a few of my favorites from this wedding.

Lindsey & Brian ~ married!

A couple of weekends ago I got to photograph the lovely Lindsey and her handsome Brian for their wedding on the beach! It took place at the wonderful Palmetto Dunes Resort (Dunes House) on Hilton Head Island. Not only was it HOT HOT HOT outside it was only made hotter by this adorable couple. I had a fabulous wedding weekend this past Friday & Saturday! I got to shoot TWO gorgeous weddings on the beach, both in Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island! My first wedding was with the lovely Alecea Davis and her handsome husband Josh Hawkins. They were married at Cat Beach followed by a beautiful intimate reception at a private house on the golf course. Below are a few of my favorites of the day.

Jennifer & Anthony ~ married!

Jennifer and Anthony recently married in an intimate ceremony on the beach! Jennifer made such a gorgeous bride and her flowers were incredible. With the wedding & reception held at the beautiful Westin Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island a lot of fun was had by all. Here are just a few from their very special day. Marianne & Jerel ~ Engaged!!

I got the honor of shooting Marianne and Jerel's engagement session at the gorgeous Oldfield Plantation last night. The light was soooooo yummy and they were so sweet together!!! I can't wait to shoot their wedding in October!! :-)

April & Randy are not getting married until 2011 but thought they would take advantage of their vacation in Hilton Head to not only book me for their wedding but to do their engagement session too! I had SO much fun with them and can't wait for this gorgeous couple's wedding.

I love engagement sessions! It gives me the chance to get to know my client and to have them get to know my shooting style and also help them to relax in front of the camera. I always try to make my sessions fun and I love sessions where I get to see a side of my clients I may not get to see on their wedding day. Another fabulous April wedding was with the lovely Rebecca and her sweet groom, Robert! The wedding was held at the gorgeous St. Andrew Chapel in Bluffton with the reception being held at the Westin Resort on Hilton Head Island! Such a fabulous couple who didn't let the rain deter them! Ok, I know I am a terrible blogger! It seems I always have so much going on and my time gets taken up with family, friends and just enjoying life. But, the other day I had a bride ask why I never updated my blog! Whoops!! I think I tend to post on Facebook so much that I forget about my blog. Bad me. So, my "mid year" resolution will be to try to post something at least twice a month. I think I should even put it in my phone and set a reminder! lol Ah well.. :-) So, without further ado I am going to post some favorites from weddings I have had recently.

New name ~ New blog!!

As many of you may or may not know, I've had a lot of life changes this past year. And while many of them were great, some were not. So, with a new outlook for the coming year I have decided to change my studio name from Shelly Hutchinson Photography to Belle Rouge Studio! I feel the new name reflects my work and style and allows me some flexibility when changing up things a bit.
While I haven't posted on my old blog in forever, my goal this next year is to blog every wedding - wish me luck! :-) So without further ado, I will start off my first post with a few shots of some of the fabulous weddings I did this past year. And thank you to all my brides & grooms who trusted in me to capture their special day!
